Shealy repeat winner in State Senior Match Games bowling tournament in Charleston

Ken Shealy, top qualifier in the Grand Strand Match Games, took his talents to Charleston to compete in the State Senior Match Games where he repeated for the straight second year as the champion. Shealy was top qualifier the first day events where he was 310 pins over 200 average for the eight game qualifying round.

Shealy came back the next day where he had to roll one game against the other seven top qualifiers plus one position round only to lose one match and came away with seven victories. He averaged 240 for the eight game finals with the only game under 232 being the one he lost to runner-up Ken Gibson of Greenville 257-212.

Grand Strand showed up well for the tournament placing four bowlers in the eight bracket finals with Phil Belisle, Barry Barthelman and Tom Marangelli finishing 5th, 6th and 7th.
