MYRTLE BEACH — As part of the celebration for Myrtle Beach’s 75th birthday, The Sun News is searching for anyone who shares a birth year with the city.
Anyone who was born in Myrtle Beach in 1938 and still lives nearby is asked to contact Maya T. Prabhu at 444-1722 or mprabhu@thesunnews.com.
City staff also is searching for anyone who was born the day the city was incorporated – March 12, 1938. Anyone who shares a birthday with the city is asked to contact city staff at 918-1014 or info@cityofmyrtlebeach.com.
The city plans to recognize local residents whose birthdays coincide with the city’s 75th at the City Council meeting on March 12. Those people will be invited to the council meeting to celebrate their birthdays with the city.
