MYRTLE BEACH — As part of severe weather awareness week in South Carolina, officials are planning a tornado drill at 9 a.m. Tuesday to test the tornado warning system, according to officials.
In North Carolina, officials will conduct a tornado drill at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Both states will use their routine monthly testing system and issue the message on radio and television stations. School officials were also encouraged to participate in the drill.
