Why not tax sweepstakes parlors to pay for roads?

Published: February 20, 2013

It seems like there a lot of inequities in the laws that govern the sweepstake parlors. Well, maybe the answer is to just legalize them and collect a tax or fee. Then we could apply it to improving our roads. They need lots of work to repair. Wow, jobs too!

People that want to gamble will find a way. We do have a lottery that goes to education so why not have revenue from sweepstakes that would go to the roads?
