MYRTLE BEACH — Police reported an accident at U.S. Highway 17 and U.S. Highway 501 Saturday afternoon.

The accident is reported to have injuries and Myrtle Beach police spokeswoman Sgt. Janet Waldorf did not know the severity. She said medics were notified and the involved vehicles were being towed.

The accident slowed traffic on Highway 17 as some Sun News readers began to report a mixture of rain and snow in Myrtle Beach.
