MYRTLE BEACH — Horry County police continued Wednesday to search for suspects in a home invasion that involved a woman and her 3-year-old daughter near Conway, according to authorities.
The 30-year-old victim called police about 11:50 p.m. Jan. 31 to report the incident that happened at a home on Gailard Drive, which is located off Myrtle Ridge Drive, according to an Horry County police report.
The victim said she was home with her 3-year-old in bed when she heard a loud noise in the living room.
A few seconds later a man came into the bedroom, pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded her money, according to the report. The victim said she saw two more men in the home.
The victim said the robbers searched the home, took jewelry, her purse, cellphone and a shotgun before they left, according to the report. The victim told police she had a handgun in her bedroom, but decided not to use it because her daughter was there.
The victim said she was too afraid to leave the room and about 10 minutes later a 30-year-old man came home and called police, according to the report. The victim said the robbers wore black clothing, masks, gloves and skull caps to conceal their identities.
Police found the front door kicked in and broken, according to the report. The victims told police they were unaware of any enemies who would invade their home.
