Police charge Myrtle Beach man in connection with stabbing at Revolutions night club

— Police arrested a Myrtle Beach man on charges stemming from a stabbing at Revolutions early Saturday morning.

Joseph Carl Rusconi Jr., 29 of Myrtle Beach was charged with first-degree assault and battery.

According to a Myrtle Beach police incident report, an officer responded to Revolutions night club at Broadway at the Beach at about 2 a.m. Saturday. The officer spoke with a security guard who said he saw Rusconi fighting with another man near the dance floor. When he broke up the fight, he said he noticed Rusconi tried to run and threw a knife outside in Celebrity Square.

When the officer arrived he saw that the victim had been cut on his arm and stabbed in the groin area. He was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for treatment. The victim received eight stitches in his arm as well as eight stitches in his groin area, according to the report.

Rusconi was being held without bond at Myrtle Beach jail on Sunday.
