It’s a tragedy what happened at Sandy Hook, with all the innocent children victims, but the weapons were not the problem; the man had a mental problem that should have been discovered and treated by a governmental system that was too busy worrying about re-election campaigns.
They say guns are the problem; do we pass a law to close McDonald’s because people are obese? Or should we take away all cars from citizens because one of them might get drunk and take a life?
I am a proud American. I served in the active Army and continue to serve as an officer in the Guard. My brothers and sisters in arms before me wrote a blank check to the American people, in and up to the amount of their lives to give people the rights we hold so dear. We’re we the people are still in charge, and shall continue to live and prosper as a people free from the threat of tyranny.
Yet we are so quick to give the government the ability to take away all of those freedoms if they so chose too! And we would not have the means to keep it from happening!
What has happened to the land of the free and home of the brave?
