Pro-life supporters do plenty to help

Published: January 30, 2013

As president of Grand Strand Citizens for Life I am certain I personally know many more pro-lifers than June Marcus (Jan. 25 letter, “Pro-life advocates should do more than talk”). Pro-lifers do more than talk! They act. They are adoptive parents. They provide foster homes. They work in the Community Kitchen. They provide supplies to agencies who support families in distress. They provide homes for women who find themselves in crisis pregnancies.

And yes, they deplore the 55 million abortions (statistics from state and federal agencies) that have taken the lives of unborn babies since Roe vs. Wade And no, the vast majority of those abortions were not performed for health reasons, but rather 93 percent were for social reasons (inconvenient, wrong sex, boyfriend doesn’t support, etc.) She concludes by saying prevention is better than the “trauma” of an abortion. Wonder what the opinion would be of those aborted babies!
