Re Jan. 23 Issac Bailey column, “Join me for flag discussion”

If history demands that we keep this symbol of racism, then I wonder why the Germans have given up on the swastika. I see that the black community has not given up on the flag, but has given the Statue of Liberty a free pass. George Bernard Shaw once wrote “I have always been called a master of irony, but not even I could have thought of putting the Statue of Liberty in New York”.
