MYRTLE BEACH — U.S. Rep. Tom Rice, R-S.C., has been named to three subcommittees of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee whose work is important to the 7th District he represents.
They are the subcommittees on highways and transit, water resources and environment, and Coast Guard and marine transportation.
Rice said in a news release that a seat on the subcommittees will put him in a position to work for the funding and construction of Interstate 73 and the dredging of the Georgetown port.
