A new shopping complex anchored by a beachwear store is under construction on Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach.
Crews started work this week on the 17,380-square-foot South Beach Plaza at the corner of Harrelson Boulevard and Kings Highway.
The complex will be anchored by a nearly 12,000-square-foot beachwear store and have three more tenants, each in a 1,800-square-foot spot, said Van Davenport, managing partner of H.B. Springs Co. Commercial Real Estate, which is handling the leasing and management of the shopping center.
Davenport said he is talking with national franchises, including eateries, to fill those three spaces.
The shopping center is expected to open in late April or early May, he said.
