A TV reality show thats been filming in a Myrtle Beach mobile home park will air early this year on TLC, and buzz about the show already is building.
The network known for its reality show lineup hasnt released a specific air date for Welcome to Myrtle Manor, which had been filming in Patricks Mobile Home Park off Highway 15 in Myrtle Beach since the summer. There will be 10 episodes, each an hour long.
A blog on TLCs website describes the show like this: Expect southern sights and sounds in Welcome to Myrtle Manor, a new series that chronicles the daily dramas of the residents of a mobile home park in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Think Here Comes Honey Boo Boo meets Melrose Place.
Film crews and others involved with the show declined to talk about it during filming, saying they had signed confidentiality agreements. The set included a large Myrtle Manor sign in a 1950s flair and several decorated trailers at the back of the mobile home park.
Buzz about the show is spreading on the web, with a Facebook page and Twitter account popping up and some of the stars tweeting about it. Even a dog on the show, the pet of Taylor J. Burt who will be part of the cast on the show, is getting into the hype. Gus the Bulldog -- an English bulldog on the show -- has his own Twitter page.
TLC is known for shows such as Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Breaking Amish and Little People, Big World.
