MYRTLE BEACH Congressman Tom Rice, R-S.C., has been named chairman of the U.S. House subcommittee on economic growth, tax and capital access, according to information from his office.
The subcommittee evaluates the ability of U.S. financial markets to provide needed capital to small businesses. Additionally, it reviews federal programs aimed at assisting entrepreneurs in obtaining needed capital.
Rice was elected in November to represent the state’s new 7th Congressional District.
