MYRTLE BEACH AJ Walker had a game-high 14 points to lead Georgetown over Socastee 42-39 in both teams Region VII-AAA opener on Tuesday night.
Walker hit three 3-pointers for the Bulldogs and Charlie McGirt added eight points.
The Braves were led by Adarius McCray’s 12 points, while Will Caswell had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
