The crash was reported in the northbound lanes of U.S. 17 near the bridges at the entrance to the city, said Bob Beebe, public information officer for Midway Fire, which responded to the scene.
William Carlo Dominguez, 43, of Leesburg, Fla., died from head trauma at 7:30 a.m. Monday while he was at the Georgetown Hospital emergency room, Georgetown County Coroner Kenny Johnson said. Dominguez had been visiting the area.
