In defense of gun ownership

January 3, 2013

Guns are our sole protection. Neither the government nor the police can protect us when our homes are invaded, when we are accosted on the street, when we are attacked in our church or in the schools, or when the government attempts to usurp our freedoms.

The U.S. economy is on the verge of an economic collapse, which will be followed by a depression. Unemployment will soar, inflation will rocket, food and other survival necessities will be practically nonexistent. Desperate persons and gangs of thieves, killers and rapists will begin home invasions, and I for one, do not want to be in my house trying to protect my family with a bow and arrow while the murderer and rapist break into the house with automatic weapons.

Nations that relinquished the right to bear arms suffered immeasurably. After gun control in nations around the world, including Germany, China and the Soviet Union, now-defenseless populations were rounded up and killed.

Government control in the 20th century resulted in 56 million defenseless people being rounded up and exterminated.

Guns in the hands of responsible citizens is not a threat. It is a source of security for all citizens.
