Fire displaces 2 adults from their Nichols home

Published: December 27, 2012

Two adults escaped out of a bedroom window after a fire claimed their Nichols home early Thursday morning, fire officials said. No injuries were reported.

Firefighters responded to the 2000 block of Housand Loop in Nichols shortly before 3:30 a.m. to extinguish the fire, Horry County fire spokeswoman Leslie Yancey said.

Fire investigators determined the cause of the fire, which began in the living room, to be accidental. The home suffered heavy fire damage.
