Saturday’s high school roundup: Center Point (Ala.) boys take third in Shootout By the Sea

— Jeffrey Hodge had 26 points, Treveon Davis added 17 and Dedric Foreman had 14 as the Center Point (Ala.) beat Nation Ford 65-54 to take third place in the Shootout By The Sea tournament at North Myrtle Beach High.

Carson Smith had a team-high 21 for Nation Ford.

Girls’ third-place game

• Scott County (Ky.) 77, South Florence 59 | Laura Szorenyl had 21 points, Danielle Dfoor added 17 and Tereka Guyn contributed 14 as the Cardinals topped the Bruins.

Ashley Briggs had a game-high 25 for South Florence.

Girls’ fifth-place game

•  Nation Ford 42, North Brunswick (N.C.) 30 | Taylor Yarborough had 25 points to help Nation Ford top North Brunswick.

Girls’ seventh-place game

•  Marlboro County 35, Cross 33 | Aliyah Catlado had 12 points to lead the Bulldogs to a victory over Cross.

Boys’ fifth-place game

•  Marlboro County 62, Sumter 57 | London Johnson had 27 points and Tyreek Blair added 18 as Marlboro County beat Sumter.

Duane Kyles had 17 for the Gamecocks, who kept it close but came up short.

Boys’ seventh-place game

• Forest Hills (N.C.) 69, North Brunswick (N.C.) 67 | Roderick Poag had 26 points to lead Forest Hills to a win over North Brunswick.

•  Miami Senior (Fla.) 51, Heathwood Hall Episcopal 43 | Amanda Mendoza had a team-high 17 points and Beatrice Mompremier added 12 as Miami Senior defeated Heathwood Hall in the fifth-place game.
