Consider helping cats this holiday season

December 20, 2012

We have a great need for help with our feral cat population in Horry County. Think of all the little kitties that will never know a loving home, or even what a warm blanket would feel like.

During this season of giving, please consider helping no-kill shelters like Coastal Animal Rescue (652-4500), or Sav-R-Cats (385-3933). They need supplies and funds.

One of the greatest needs in Horry County is for a cat sanctuary. If you have land or property that you could donate, please call 902-6805. Think how wonderful it would be to establish the first cat sanctuary in Horry or Georgetown County. This is so desperately wanted by organizations like Sav-R-Cats, and all of us who love cats.

Individuals have presented this request to Conway City Council and Horry County Council in the past. Please step up and make this a reality.

God bless you for giving, and don't forget to spay and neuter your pets.
