Let’s spread holiday cheer a little longer

Published: December 19, 2012

Over the past few years it has been quite noticeable that more and more folks terminate the holiday season Dec. 26 -- lights out, trees discarded.

Considering the effort that goes into the holiday season, I would like to suggest keeping the spirit of the Christmas season glowing a little bit longer. Let’s leave our lights on for an extra week or two. (The tree, being a hazard, should go).

Perhaps it will instill more goodwill to men and dedicate the gesture to our Connecticut citizens.
