A Little River man was ordered to serve two years in prison after he pleaded guilty to assault and property damage charges, according to court records.

Tiennd Rashod Bellamy, 25, of Little River pleaded guilty to criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and malicious injury to personal property valued at more than $2,000, but less than $10,000, according to court records.

Circuit Court Judge Larry Hyman sentenced Bellamy to two years on the property damage charge and a year in prison for the domestic violence charge. The sentences will run concurrently. Bellamy also must pay court costs.

The charges are related to an incident that occurred on Jan. 26, when Bellamy’s 22-year-old ex-girlfriend told police that after they broke up he demanded she give him her vehicle. She refused so he took it, according to a police report. The woman took the vehicle back and Bellamy confronted her about it.

During the incident, the woman said Bellamy shot into her vehicle several times before he left the scene.

Other, unrelated charges are pending against Bellamy, including armed robbery, first-degree burglary, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, attempted murder, first-degree assault and battery and kidnapping. Those charges stemmed from an incident that occurred on Jan. 24 after a Longs man said three men forced their way inside his home, robbed his family at gunpoint and shot at him, but missed.
