Horry County officials and the public remembered an infant, whose body was found four years ago in a bag along S.C. 544, during a memorial service Monday at the baby's grave in Hillcrest Cemetery in Conway. The infant, named Baby Boy Horry, was found dead Dec. 4, 2008, inside a blue-and-white Bath and Body Works bag in a ditch on Meadowbrook Drive off S.C. 544, according to authorities. Horry County police continue to investigate the baby's death and ask anyone with information about the infant to call police at 915-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous. The Caucasian infant was a viable child and if given the proper care, he would have survived, Horry County Coroner Robert Edge said. About 40 attended the 4th Annual service, including many members of the local Rolling Thunder chapter, who showed their support for the abandoned infant with patches on their leather vests and jackets.
