A Pawleys Island residence owned by Coastal Carolina University football coach Joe Moglia and his wife Amy was broken into two weekends ago, although nothing was reported missing, according to a police report by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.

Moglia confirmed the incident Mondaythrough CCU associate athletic director for media relations Mike Cawood, but declined comment to comment further.

According to the report, police responded to the address after an alarm was set off at 2:15 a.m. on Nov. 25. Deputies determined that two windows on the back porch “had been pried open with what appeared to be a flat bar and there did not appear to be any items missing.”

Deputies spoke with a woman identified as a “key holder and caretaker” of the residence who said that Amy Moglia asked her to check on the property.

Joe Moglia, who just completed his first season as Coastal’s head football coach, does not live full time at the house in Pawleys Island. He commutes to campus from another residence closer to the school.
