MYRTLE BEACH — The amount just keeps on growing.

Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot has grown to the biggest payout in the game’s history at $500 million.

For the winner, that means a cash option of $327 million.

The jackpot grew from $425 million to $500 million as a result of brisk ticket sales.

Earlier this year, a $656 million Mega Millions jackpot shattered the U.S. record.

Palmetto State residents can purchase their Powerball tickets until 9:59 p.m. Wednesday, ahead of the 10:59 drawing. Odds of winning are one in 176 million.
