Hardee, Provasnik lead after second round of George Holliday Junior

— Jonathon Hardee shot an even par 72 on Myrtle Beach National South Creek Course on Friday to take a one stroke lead in the 44th Annual George Holliday Tournament.

Hardee is the reigning boys 16-18 division champion and will look to finish strong and defend his crown.

Sitting behind Hardee tied for second is Dan Wesley from Ajax, Ontario and Jackson Spires of Fayetteville, N.C. with a two day total of 146.

Tim Conover of Holly Springs, N.C. and Tanner Gross of Archdale, N.C. round out the top five with a 147.

Aynor’s Johnson Holliday carded five birdies and an eagle to score a 72 in Friday’s round and is four strokes out of the lead.

Jessica Provasnik has a two day total of 149 to have a one shot lead over a pair of South Carolina residents. Provasnik shot a 73 on the day on the King’s North Course.

Elgin’s Kelli Murphy and Summerville’s Reona Hirai are both tied for second at 150.
