— Early morning shopping turned dangerous for one Myrtle Beach shopper on Friday. Shelly Ludlum-Cheers said she was robbed of $200 at about 1 a.m. Friday morning as she was headed to Best Buy.

According to a police incident report, a 45-year-old woman said that she was sitting in her parked car in the Men’s Warehouse parking lot across Seaboard Street from Best Buy, getting ready to head into the electronics store. As she got out of the car, she told police, a gunman walked up behind her ordered her back into her car. He then climbed into the back seat and demanded her cash and cell phone.

The woman said she told the gunman that her children would be returning to the car soon, and he got out and ran off. Police are investigating.
