Democrats

•  The North Strand Democratic monthly meeting will be 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Mick & Mike’s Sports Bar, 1008 Highway 17 S, in North Myrtle Beach.

•  Democratic Women’s Council of Horry County meeting will be 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Martin’s Restaurant, 7200 North Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach, at the corner of 73rd and N. Ocean Blvd.

•  The Grand Strand Dems will meet at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Friendly’s Restaurant at 47th Avenue N. and Kings Highway.

• The southern regional meeting of the National Federation of Democratic Women will be held Friday and Saturday at the Ocean Reef Hotel, 7100 North Ocean Blvd, in Myrtle Beach. Sally P. Howard, treasurer of the of the Democratic Women’s Council of Horry County, will host the two day event.

Friday will feature a welcome reception and silent auction from 6 to 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, the registration begins at 8 a.m. and the day’s activities will last through 5 p.m.
