Good people helped in mother’s last days

Published: November 11, 2012

This proves there are still “good people” on this Earth, especially in the South.

My family and I have a second home here in Myrtle Beach mainly because my mother resides here. Recently she had been taken gravely ill and has passed away. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the sincere kindness that was given to her and my family.

First, there is AMS ambulance of Conway. They did not hesitate to fulfill my mother’s last request on this Earth. They transported her to the beach, by stretcher, to view her last sunrise. The experience was awesome. This included viewing an unexpected rainbow. The attendants were patient and considerate.

Secondly, there is Mercy Hospice of Horry County, the only nonprofit hospice in the area. They continued to show compassion and professional care to a loving individual.

We are proud to call Myrtle Beach our home.
