Edge shows disrespect for state’s laws

November 10, 2012

Re Oct. 4 article, “Rep. Edge’s license freeze lifted”

Tracy Edge said “I'm preparing for trial and looking forward to trial. I'm looking forward to it coming out in my favor.”

Can anybody tell me what coming out in my favor means for Rep. Edge? For the past two years he seems to have taken the people for granted, disrespected the law, and seems to think he is exempt from obeying the law or above the law.

He was ticketed May 17, 2012 and had 59 days before the end of the legislative session to pay but was found guilty because he refused to show up. He was ticketed Apri1 29, 2012, and had over 90 days to pay but found guilty because he refused to appear.

Now in the article he says “I'm looking forward to it coming out in my favor.”

When the one we elected to write the laws continues to disrespect the law what does “in my favor” mean? Are there any special benefits for our elected officials in a case such as this?
