Local Sandy relief efforts make a difference

November 9, 2012

Please let Surfside Beach residents as well as all of South Carolina know about the relief effort being provided by CFS Logistics, Inc., coordinated by Mike Fanning of Coastal Carolina Shields Group and Beth Kohlmann, who is on Surfside Beach Town Council.

There has been an overwhelming response of giving by everyone, and without the organized effort of sorting, labeling, packing, shipping, driving and having a receiving and distribution point in the hurricane ravaged area all this effort could be wasted.

Logistics are important for giving to be effective. There are scams going on and they are using well known names to collect items to keep or sell. Hurricane victims are letting it be known how much they appreciate everything being done for them.
