NASCAR Hall of Famer Pearson to be grand marshal at Myrtle Beach Speedway

NASCAR Hall of Famer David Pearson is coming to Myrtle Beach Speedway.

The track announced Tuesday that the racing great will serve as grand marshal for 20th running of the Myrtle Beach 400 from Nov. 16-18.

The weekend of racing will feature Mini-stocks, Challengers, South East Limited Late Models and the Whelen NASCAR All-American Late Model Stock Cars race, which awards $10,000 to the winning driver.

“We are proud to have David, one of the greats, as our guest and grand marshal for the weekend,” Myrtle Beach Speedway owner Bob Lutz said. “Sunday will be his day at the track that he has run on and enjoyed victory during his early days of racing.”

Pearson is a two-time Cup champion and ranks second on NASCAR’s all-time wins list.
