PLANTERSVILLE — Two male suspects are wanted in connection with an armed robbery in the Plantersville community in which they reportedly fired shots at the victims’ car after they turned over their belongings on Sunday evening, police said.
According to a press release from the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, the victims were driving on Philippi Lane when they stopped and one victim got out of the vehicle to remove some tree limbs that were blocking the road. The victims told police that two male suspects – one armed with a handgun and one armed with a shotgun – approached the vehicle and demanded money. The suspects took a purse from a female victim.
As the victims backed away, witnesses told police they fired multiple shots at the vehicle before running north on Jackson Village Road. No one was injured, police said.
