MYRTLE BEACH — Police arrested a homeless man on trespassing charges Saturday night who said he got into a rental van to get out of the cold.
According to a Myrtle Beach police report, officers saw Josh Elliott Pearson, 28, on a bicycle in the parking lot of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, located at 1337 Highway 501, at about 9:30 p.m. Police said the saw him open the door to a van and get inside.
When questioned, Pearson told police he was trying to get out of the cold.
