Talk radio show in Myrtle Beach changes morning lineup

A morning talk radio show in Myrtle Beach has a new lineup.

Pat Taylor has joined Dave Priest as the talk duo on WRNN’s Hot Talk Morning Show, which airs from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday on 99.5 FM and 1450 AM.

One of the hosts for the past year, Tara Servatius, is no longer part of the lineup. She’s now a morning talk radio show host in Charleston on WTMA 1250 AM.

The market manager for Next Media, which owns WRNN, could not be reached for comment Friday morning.

The change in the WRNN morning show lineup comes about a year after a major shakeup to the show’s on-air personalities with the addition of Servatius and the departure of veteran newsman Steve Porter, who started the station’s morning news and talk program.

The change didn’t sit well with some of the show’s loyal listeners who didn’t embrace Servatius and asked that Porter be brought back. Porter does a weekly commentary, but isn’t a host.

Taylor might be familiar to some WRNN listeners. He’s worked for Next Media Radio of Myrtle Beach since moving to the area in 2004 as a remote broadcast technician and part-time on-air personality, according to his bio on the WRNN website.

Next Media owns WRNN and three other radio stations along the Grand Strand: WKZQ 96.1 FM, WYAV 104.1 FM and WMYB 92.1 FM.
