The Horry County Board of Education voted this week to change the name of the Green Sea Floyds High School Stadium to the Luther Enzor Memorial Stadium.
Enzor, who died July 20, was a 1944 graduate of Floyds High School, where he became a teacher and coach after serving in World War II. He was named assistant principal in 1964 and principal two years later. He also was named principal of the new Green Sea Floyds High School in 1976 when Floyds and Green Sea high schools were merged, a position he kept until his retirement in 1992.
