The annual Horry County Schools’ All-County Theatre event will be held Thursday at the Academy for the Arts, Science and Technology, 895 International Drive, Myrtle Beach. The event is free and open to the public.
Six schools will perform a one-act piece for collegiate adjudicators from throughout the Southeast, and the all-day event will end with an awards ceremony at 4:45 p.m. Students from theater ensembles throughout the county will participate in workshops and observe the drama competition. All-County Theatre is part of the HCS Gifted and Talented Program and helps to prepare drama students for acceptance into the summer arts residential program sponsored by Coastal Carolina University in partnership with HCS.
The performance schedule is as follows:
• North Myrtle Beach High School, 9 a.m.
• Loris Middle School, 9:50 a.m.
• Socastee High School, 10:40 a.m.
• Academy for the Arts, Science and Technology, 1:45 p.m.
• St. James High School, 2:35 p.m.
• Carolina Forest High School, 3:25 p.m.
