MYRTLE BEACH — Police have charged three men following a fight in a of Broadway at the Beach parking lot during the weekend, according to a police report.
Lee David Bryant, 32, of Myrtle Beach was charged with third-degree assault and battery, while Aron M. Cloninger, 22, of Bayville, N.Y., and Travis Christopher King, 21, of Conway were each charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, according to Myrtle Beach police records.
The charges stemmed from an incident reported about 2:15 a.m. Sunday near 1322 Celebrity Circle, in which a 21-year-old woman told officers she and another person, who was not identified in the report, were walking in the parking lot and she heard two people calling them names, according to the report. The victim said Bryant pulled her by her hair to the ground, which caused her to scrape her chin, according to the report.
She said the person with her pushed her assailant and they called Cloninger over to tell him what happened, according to the report. Witnesses told police that Cloninger and King the chased Bryant.
Another witness told police that the victim got into Bryant’s face and struck him and then she called Cloninger over, who punched Bryant, according to the report. The witness said Cloninger punched Bryant and appeared to knock him out and while he was unconscious, King and Cloninger kicked him in the head.
Another witness, who did not see the initial incident, told police he saw Bryant lying motionless on the ground and saw Cloninger and King kick him in the head, according to the report. Bryant was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Bryant told police he remembered two people chasing him and attacking him for no apparent reason, according to the report.
