— Ricky Garbanzo came up one goal short of a hat trick, scoring two and dishing out one assist as Coastal Carolina blew by rival Liberty 3-0 in men’s soccer.

The Chants dominated on offense recording 18 shots on goal compared to Liberty’s three. Goalie Federico Bertele played the full 90 minutes and was left with little to do for the 18th-ranked Chanticleers.

Goal number three was scored by midfielder Matt Risher, who scored on his only shot on goal and supplied an assist as well.

Aside from a sound win, the Chants appeared a little sloppy on defense drawing four offsides penalties. The win brings Coastal’s record to 5-1-2, 2-0 in the Big South Conference.
