Weekly golf tip with Brad Redding (Sept. 12)

Published: September 11, 2012

Tip 13A--Hitting shots off the toe or heel of the club is a problem a lot of golfers face. A simple drill will help you train your hands to get the club face into the proper position at impact. Take two tees and put them into the ground about two inches apart. (Pic A) If you tend to hit the ball with the toe of the club, set your clubface behind the inside tee and make swings and hit the outside tee. If you tend to hit the ball with the heel of the club set you clubface behind the outside tee and hit the inside tee. Do this until you can do it at ease. Then try it with a golf ball and you will find what a solid impact feels like. The Sun News photo by Steve Jessmore sjessmore@thesunnews.com
