Coastal Carolina men’s soccer rallies to score tie with Bowling Green

Published: September 9, 2012

— Jhamie Hyde scored with 18 seconds left in regulation to help the Coastal Carolina men’s soccer team salvage at 3-all tie against Bowling Green in the Coastal Carolina University Invitational on Sunday.

Trailing 3-2 with under a minute left, CCU coach Shaun Docking put an attack team in to hope for a late score. It paid off when Hyde blasted his first career goal off a throw-in by Robby Joe Daniels. The Falcons initially knocked the ball away before it ended up in the possession of Hyde, who uncorked his shot from near the top of the box.

Daniels and Sean McCormick also scored for the Chants (3-1-2).

Wofford, which defeated Florida Atlantic 2-1 in the day’s first match, claimed the tournament title by going 2-0.
