• Carolina Patriots will meet 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Grand Strand Senior Center, 1268 21st. Avenue North, in Myrtle Beach. The speaker will be Ashley Landess from the S.C. • The South Carolina Republican Party will hold a ribbon cutting and grand opening of its 7th Congressional District VICTORY campaign office at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
The office is inside the Horry County Republican Party’s Headquarters on 2351 Highway 501 North (in Conway at Singleton Ridge Road next to Lowe’s) and will serve as a central location for volunteers and activists to engage in the fall campaign.
Elected officials, party officials from across the district, and SCGOP Chairman Chad Connelly will attend the opening and will make remarks prior to the ribbon cutting.
South Carolina’s 7th Congressional District is a new seat that was added as a result of the 2010 Census and unites the Pee Dee and the Grand Strand in a congressional district for the first time since 1933.
The event is open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.
• The South Carolina Federation of Republican Women, as part of its “Caring for America” project, is sponsoring a Blood Drive through the American Red Cross chapters across the state. Donate either at the Red Cross Centers or at a local Bloodmobile.
