MURRELLS INLET — A Murrells Inlet woman was arrested on meth charges Tuesday night following a year-long investigation by the Horry County Police Department.
Jeanne Marie Abblett, 47, was charged with distribution of meth, possession of meth, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a press release. She remained in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center Wednesday morning.
A number of complaints led detectives with the HCPD’s Narcotics and Vice Section to start its investigation approximately one year ago. The detectives looked into whether crystal meth was being made at an apartment on Sweetwater Boulevard in Murrells Inlet, according to the release.
Detectives served a search warrant on the apartment Tuesday at 7 p.m. and reportedly seized one gram each of crystal meth and marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia. Abblett was taken into custody.
