CCU Women’s Soccer

The Chanticleers dropped a 2-1 decision to Western Michigan in a game that was part of the Coastal Carolina Soccer Classic Sunday afternoon.

Freshman Meagan Borger scored the lone goal for Coastal Carolina (1-2) in the 88th minute. Junior goalkeeper Megan Spencer made five saves for the Chanticleers.

The Broncos got on the board in the 15th minute and then again in the 82nd off of a free kick. Trailing by two goals, Coastal tried to apply more pressure and was able to break through on Borger’s late goal.
