MYRTLE BEACH — Police are on the hunt for a man who allegedly stole the purse of a woman in front of Bumsteads on Mr. Joe White Avenue early Saturday morning.

The woman says a man came up from behind her, snatched the purse from her shoulder and ran past Bumsteads and then down the alley behind the Circle K at 1100 N. Kings Highway.

The suspect was described as a black male, about 6-foot-1 or 6-2 and in his early 20s with a skinny build and short dreadlocks. He was wearing blue jeans, a blue T-shirt and a white cap.
