MYRTLE BEACH — Police are investigating claims by a woman that she was raped Friday night at Miscue Billiards and Bar at 516 8th Ave. N. here.

The victim, who said she had been drinking and at one point during the night had taken a Xanax, said that a man came into the ladies restroom and forced himself upon her, despite her hitting him several times. After the ordeal, she found a security guard who allowed her to call her mother and sister, who took her to a local hospital.

The mother and sister told officers that the woman had gone to the bar with a friend, but had been left behind.
