Horry County arrests 15 in Racepath drug sting

MYRTLE BEACH A three month investigation into excessive drug sales in the Racepath Community led Horry County detectives to a sting that netted 15 arrests.

Sgt. Robert Kegler, with Horry County police, said about 10 grams of cocaine, $1,500 and three semi-automatic pistols were seized in addition to the 15 arrests.

Officers started the investigation after Horry County police received reports of the extreme drug activity in that community.

Vice narcotics detectives, officers with Horry County’s north, central and south precincts, the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit, the Horry County Sheriff’s office and the S.C. Probation and Parole were involved in the sting, according to Kegler.

Police charged Daquan Tyreece Page, 20, of Myrtle Beach, with unlawful carrying of a pistol, resisting arrest, unlawful possession of prescription drugs and 10 counts of distribution of crack cocaine. Joseph Sanders, 36, of Myrtle Beach, is charged with possession of crack cocaine, resisting arrest, and two counts of distribution of crack cocaine.

The following people were charged with attempting to possess drugs Jonathan David Marlette, 19 of Myrtle Beach; Anthony Daron Simon, 30, of Myrtle Beach; Michael Jeffery Crossley, 45, of Myrtle Beach; Michelle Danielle Searles, 44, of Little River; Lance Maurice Burgess, 32, of Myrtle Beach; Lamar David Davis, 44, no address given; Richard Francis Sanger, 35, of Myrtle Beach; Raymond Jerome Vaught, 54, of Myrtle Beach; Lisa Marie Fellows, 43, of Myrtle Beach; Steve Clinton Evans, 53, of Myrtle Beach; Jeffrey P. Harper, 41, Myrtle Beach; Roman Lee Melton, 33, of Myrtle Beach; James Aforthy Johnson, 42, of Myrtle Beach.
