• The League of Women Voters of Horry County will meet Monday at Ryan's in Conway.
The group will gather at 11:30 a.m. to socialize and eat lunch. The meeting begins at noon.
Democrats
• The Grand Strand Horry Democratic Club will have its monthly meeting at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Friendly’s Restaurant, 4705 N. Kings Highway. The topic will be a garden party fundraiser for 7th Congressional District candidate Gloria Tinubu.

• Horry County Democrats will have a Garden Party fund raiser on Aug. 25 for 7th District congressional candidate Gloria Tinubu.
The event will be held at 2961 Midiron Court in Palmetto Greens, across from Broadway at the Beach. Guest speakers will be Tinubu and Phil Nobles, chairman and founder of the New Democratic Club.
Tickets are $10 per person and includes food, door prize, and silent auction. Anyone who wants to donate items should drop them off at Bea Catalano’s office at 5311 N. Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach.

Republicans
• The South Carolina Federation of Republican Women, as part of its “Caring for America” project, is sponsoring a Blood Drive through the American Red Cross chapters across the state are participating by donating either at the Red Cross Centers or at a local Bloodmobile.

• Conservatives for Responsible Government meets at 6 p.m. the last Thursday of each month at T-Bonz Gill & Grill on Seaboard Street in Seaboard Commons, Myrtle Beach.
