MYRTLE BEACH — A dispatch log from Myrtle Beach police showed someone called officers at 10 p.m. Monday to report they were stuck on a thrill ride.
The caller told police they had been stranded for about 20 minutes, according to the report. The caller told police she was on a ride at Family Kingdom, but Myrtle Beach police Capt. David Knipes said the incident happened at The Skyscraper, a thrill ride located at the corner of Third Avenue South and Ocean Boulevard.
People were escorted off the ride by 10:08 p.m. Monday, according to the report. But the caller told officers that the ride did not appear safe to operate.
By 10:10 p.m. the ride was moving, according to the last note on the report.
No one was reported injured in the incident, according to authorities.
