Broadway at the Beach store burglarized
Myrtle Beach police are searching for a man suspected of breaking a door and stealing sunglasses and a T-shirt from a store at Broadway at the Beach, according to a police report.
Officers were called at 12:30 a.m. Sunday to Palmetto Paradise located at 1200 Celebrity Circle and found a rear glass door broken with blood splatter on the metal door frame, police said.
Video surveillance showed a man at the door with a hammer-like object about 2:30 a.m. hitting the door and going into the business, according to the report. The video showed the suspect trying to open a case that contained Oakley sunglasses.
The video showed the suspect couldn’t get the case open, so he took the object and broke it and took sunglasses from the case and placed them inside a T-shirt from the store, according to the report. The suspect then left the store, but had cut himself on the door.
The quantity and value of the glasses were not listed in the report.
